Flyers will be coming home with students this week about the
annual PTA Reflections program, which gives your children an opportunity to
express themselves artistically for fun and recognition.
The theme for the 2014-15 program is “The World Would Be a
Better Place if …” Students can show their creativity in dance choreography,
film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.
The students must create their pieces independently and from
their own perspectives, and they may also participate in one or all of the
categories. Each work of art must be submitted with the artist’s statement and
the entry form. However, parents may help fill out the entry forms. The deadline for entries is Friday, Nov. 7, 2014.
Encourage your children to think about how the world could
be a better place and how they can portray their feelings through different
mediums.
