Who's Leading the "Kiss A Pig" Contest?

Five teachers have generously volunteered to take part in the "Kiss a Pig" contest for Discovery Night at The Farmstead on Monday, Sept. 29.

Students will have the opportunity to vote next week with their pennies for the teacher they would most like to see kiss a pig. Flyers will be coming home in the coming days. Be sure to check the box of the teacher of your choice, and bring the bottom half of the form back to school with your pennies in the attached baggie on Monday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Sept. 26.

Thank you, parents, for getting the ball rolling by making donations at Back to School Night. Here are the current standings:

  • Mr. Bonebrake, ERR: $24.82
  • Mrs. Rojas, Kindergarten: $15.40
  • Mrs. Howard, First Grade: $5.26
  • Mr. Johnson, PE/Health: $2.32
  • Mrs. Drlik, Second Grade: $1.66

We will keep you posted next week after each day's pennies are tallied, and then the winning teacher will be announced on the afternoon of Sept. 29!

We hope we will see you all at The Farmstead from 4 to 9 p.m. Sept. 29 to have a wonderful fall evening with other Discovery families. Plus, don't miss out on cheering on the winning teacher at 7:30 p.m. during the racing pigs show.

Admission to The Farmstead for Discovery families is $5.25, and if students wear a Discovery bracelet or shirt, admission is only $4.25 (plus, The Farmstead will donate $1 for each admission to the Discovery PTA). The admission includes the MAiZE, hayrides, jumping pillow, cow train, corn box, spider web, and slides. It is only $3 extra for your choice of three activities not included in the general admission, such as the Haunted Creature, pony rides, and pumpkin blaster shots.
