I hope everyone had a fantastic first day of school!
The Discovery Elementary PTA got off to a great start this
school year at Friday’s Meet and Greet by selling spirit wear and PTA
memberships. We had 20 people sign up to join the PTA on Friday. It was so
great to see so many familiar and new faces.
Those who purchased PTA memberships also had the opportunity
to put their students’ teachers’ names into a drawing for a basket of school
supplies.
Congratulations to third-grade teacher Melissa Slocum who
won the basket of goodies, and thank you to everyone who made purchases to help
support Discovery Elementary!
If you didn’t sign up yet for PTA but are curious about what
we do and what fun activities we are planning this year, be sure to come to the
first meeting of the year at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Health Room.
